Please review www.bebimi.com

We're currently in the process of developing a new online store for jewelry and diamonds and so on at www.bebimi.com and since it's still pretty much under construction we're looking for feedback and suggestions from people who know what they're talking about so I though this may be a good place to post. I really hope someone will take the time to give me a little input on this; I would appreciate it very much. Thank you!

All in all a nice looking site, and i like the way you give information about what your selling.

I understand the site is under contruction and if i point out things that are related to that then sowee.

My biggest gripe is that there is no explanation of what you do, your not selling items you are informing people of items on other shops, but giving them to little info, which makes them then like to another shop without first nowing you are, this is highly irrateing and means you ahve to keep clicking the back button all the time, I would like it more if you held more info about the produc and an image or two then if i liked it i would go to the shop to buy it, instead of having to jump to and from outside websites to see the products, something more like

http://www.dealtime.co.uk/

I see alot of your naviagtion is also not working, if you click men on the images then clcik watches it still brings up men, all the text links at top, although matching the images don't actually match the place you link to this is also confusing and your links at the bottom also link back to http://www.bebimi.com

All in all a nice looking site but he fact i go back and forth to other sites is a pain, good luck

I would never buy jewelry online.
I just don't trust I would be getting the same quality item, as I would if I just went to a store and could actually see, touch, etc... the product before I purchased it....but that's just me.

Good point Memnoch but you have to know that online jewelry products are much cheaper than the ones found at our local jewelry store simply because the owners don't have to pay any rent and their no of employees is much smaller. So, I would gladly buy jewelry online as long as I know something about the vendor. I see that you have a Leading Brands link. Nice move ...

www.bebimi.com

To me.. it's a little bit terrible. Too much pictures... and very little info. I understand you are catering to different audiences, but perhaps take off the gray effect on the right image?

www.bebimi.com

Anyway, I like the way the categories are arranged. Also the main picture looks very nice. Nevertheless it really has a professional touch. You should get more articles regarding jewelry and diamonds and how can that be bought in order to get exactly what you wanted.

I agree – there is too much empty space and it’s worth adding more articles. But I would advice to work with fonts in order to improve the visibility of the links on the main page.
But generally speaking I think you’re on the right way, and you should make only some changes

And is bebimi some kind of the affiliate website? I can see the names of many established online jewelry vendors at your site; so as far as I understand the customer will be actually buying at one of them, but not at bebimi?

The only advice I can offer is a site which works in our home town.

http://www1.rosendorffs.com/

Its well updated and has a good explanation of the products.
