For anyone who is interested, this is what the site used to look like:

10-2004
02-2005
12-2005

(there were 2 other different designs for my website, but they were soooo old and I cant find either the HTML or any screenshots of them)

I like it Loz, very now with the gradients and soft colours. Impressive.

One thing though, this line in the links - page-1.asp page doesn't read correctly: "We do not need a website a description, as we do not use them in our links pages. " just being pedantic but y'know how these things are.

Nice job overall.

Thanks Paul!

Cheers for pointing out the typo; I would never have spotted that in a million years. Infact, I had to read that over 3 times before I realised what was wrong with it!

Smile

"piece" is spelt wrong on the homepage.
As a pointer, it can be aesthetically pleasing to have smaller fonts for your links. For content, you could get away with a 10 point font but for hyperlinks i prefer 9pt verdana. There just seems to be no difference between the format of your content text and your links so consider applying more CSS. I would also recommend you get rid of the '+' sign preceeding your links.
One more thing, if you are planning to do another redev in the future, use full CSS. Tables are too old and restricted now.
Otherwise, neat haulover Loz - 7.5/10
Cheers.

Nooo, I love my tables!!!!

Yeah, I know what you mean though. Apart from anything its better SEO (less HTML code for the ol' search engines to sieve through).

I've also been wondering about the navigation links along the top too, I have never been 100% sure about them, and I don’t think that making them smaller would help (Ill give it a go though). I'll also try out using smaller fonts for the other links that can be found in the content.

Cheers!

(p.s. I've just replied to your email about the typo, thanks for that too!)

Why don't you just use images for the navigation here's a great link to get the ol' mac style effect buttons: http://solardreamstudios.com/learn/fireworks/aquabutton

If your concerned about the links not getting picked up by the bots then just regurgitate them at the bottom of the page as stuffing.

I do like it Lozware as for tables then the previous poster does have a point [big] but you can still get by with hybrid tables using css to define their style if that's what your comfortable with.

Also get your page to validate using xhtml validation here : it shows your driven by web standards and may earn you extra feathers in an already stuffed cap.
