Site Review

Okay, so, we currently have a website online that I designed. You can find the current design here:

http://www.emp-corp.com/

Our company has decided that they do not like the design. So, what did they do, they are having someone design it from the outside. Here is there work:

http://www.riegnersites.com/emp/

Now, you tell me, is this an upgrade to our current site?!? LOL! Now, with that being said, I came up with a design after being completely disgusted. They said they wanted more "color", and since our companies color scheme is blue and gray, this is what I came up with:

http://www.emp-corp.com/products/default_new-new.asp

Now, you tell me, once again, which site you would rather have?

What I don't like about the site made by the outside source is that everything appears too large and the coloring is ugly. I like the new design you created over all of them and I like the old design you created over the new design the outside source created.

Hi Blarche,

I know your pain and it sucks when you feel like someone worse is stealing your place.
However since this is the Site Review section and I believe you would like an honest opinion.
I think your design overall looks finer and more professional, but if they win you over anything it would be color scheming.
In color scheming, it's best to have more than 1 color other than black or white. (In this case a lighter version of black, gray)
You did very well handling the details, however if you back away from the screen a few steps and look at it overall, it seems a little bit insipid.
If you could add another color into there, not necessarily yellow, it may make it look more lively.

Just some honest personal opinions, good luck.

In honesty I prefer the first one, agree with the colour thing you need just a touch of a nice vibrant colour to brighten it up, but another option would be to add more pics.

There are some bits I don't like but more personal preference, but this image doesn't loads:

http://www.emp-corp.com/products/advanced/components/OilMate/#

the click to enlarge one

I suspect that the company your dealing with isn't web wise TBH, they will find hundreds of sites like the second link and they may think thats the normal but does it give a professional image and i would have to say no.

I know someone that built a web site when the net was relatively new for a travel agents, he built a full functioning site with filters to quickly find the holiday you want etc, for its time it has well beyond the norm, but they didn't like it didn't want to understand it and asked him to create an online static brouchure, I think you have a similar situation.

Hi
Things appears too large and the color scheme is ugly. I like ur design old design over new design so little bit improvement is needed.

My opinion

I think that the last web design is good as color combination is very nice. But apart from this i like first design as it has certain uniqueness in it but color is missing. So,if possible change the color and it will be perfect one.
