basic help needed
im a complete novice about this database stuff. is there any website that simplifys it so i can learn how to use it. I need to understand the different types and stuff as im currently learning ASP so i could use a database

choose which SQL you will use, then read the tutorial on using its basic login (get the default usernames and pass's) then chage them, and then learn how to connect to that DB,. MySQL and Firebird are free.
You can have your host setup whatver SQL they have then you just learn to connect.
