Error Handling
Originally posted by : Sumesh (rbrbrb20002000@yahoo.com)

Hi,
I am Having a Main Stored Procedure from which i am calling a Sub Stored Procedure. The Transaction Handling is Done at The Main SP.
After Calling SUb SP i Check @@ERROR , and it it is an Error Transaction is Rolled Back

But The Problem is That if any Error Happens in Sub SP, @@ERROR is Populated in SUb SP and Message in Sub SP is Displayed.

But when the control Comes Back to Main SP @@ERROR is Having Zero.So it is Not Going Inside the Error Check And The Transaction is Not Getting Rolled Back.

Should i Use The Return Value or Explicitely pass some Parameter from SUb SP Endicating whether any Error Occured Or Not???

Thanks,
Sumesh
