How Do I Insert To A Memo Field???

Originally posted by : Warren (tybeeware@aol.com)
In ASP, I try to insert to a memo field and always get a Syntaxt error. The same code works if I use a Text field to insert to but not for a memo. I have been trying to find the answer for a month now so if someone can help, I would appreciate it.

Desc1 = Request("Desc")
Set MYCONN = server.CreateObject("ADODB.connection")
Set RS = server.CreateObject("ADODB.recordset")
MYCONN.open "Tell"

SQL1 = "INSERT INTO Email(Desc) VALUES(" & "'" & Desc1 & "')"

response.write SQL1

RS.open SQL1, MYCONN
%>

This works fine if I replace Desc1 with another text field name but Desc1 is a memo field and always gets a Syntax error.

Thanks ahead for your help!

Warren
tybeeware@aol.com
