Unhappy Website database + email users

Hello,

I want to set up a website where users can register and leave their email address and then everyday the website will send them a thought of the day. I need this to be a fully automated process, apart from uploading new 'thoughts of the day' when old ones have expired.

I also want to charge a small fee for this service so the website will need to be linked to something like PayPal. I guess I will need some kind of database linked to an email system.

Please please please help. Just a high level overview on how this might be achieved will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Al.

you have them wire money to you through paypal. Paypal offers you all the link code you'll need to your account.

as far as the thoughts of the day, it's up to you if you want them random or if the server should go down a list. Either way make a unique identifier for the thought. Have a batch job set up to run at XXo'clock overday and email your list of people the next thought of the day. I guess you could keep a file of somesort on what the last thought of the day sent out was maybe?
