It would allow for users unfamiliar with BB Code (the reason I think most don't use code blocks) to use code blocks and would save time for those of us who DO know BB Code

typing [code] and then [ /code] is very simple, I'm doing it almost automatically. most new users use the advanced editor to reply anyway, and they have the code button in there.

If I've posted some code above, you might think it looks a bit simplistic. It might be. I'd rather people tried the next step themselves rather than getting a full solution on a plate. That way they learn more!
