How about an Excel Forum!!
Hi Everyone
Recently i have seen quite a few excel questions. But there is no proper place for them and they are shifted to Lounge. Can we have an excel forum, which might fit in Other? Thanx Micky |

I could imagine so, with the recent merger, there is a lot more responsibility on them.
Instead of just Excel, maybe even a whole Microsoft Office forum (minus Access).

I really don't like this idea, soon we'll be asking to put a msword/powerpoint/outlook forum.
We're developer forums, not ms products help desk Now the automation, that may be an idea, but I need more input on this before I give my vote of confidence .....what type of automation are we talking about?

The reason, being, lewis
, is that most if not all Office products have some sort of programming involved with them. You can even create forms and use VBA in Outlook. Since programming with Excel is often brought up, it deserves its own home, along with any other possibilites woot |

I see what you're saying, but say hypothetically, we get this forum, who
here has enough expertise supporting this forum? We need more than just one member to have knowledge in this. I don't work with this kind of stuff. Maybe we can ask the level of Automation Experience from users here in the forums via a poll and see if that helps the case. |

Such forum may attract new and experienced users to help support it. It certainly wouldn't hurt anything having it. Now the real waste is the "Programming Help" forum, where most of the posts get moved to ASP Development.
