line numbers in "highlighted" code - problem when Pasting
the new highlight bbcodes are really cool, and they add line numbers to the code.
however, when I copy that code into the clipboard and then Pasting it, it contains those line numbers... can you make it so that line numbers won't be Copied into the clipboard? example: copied&pasted: Quote:
edit: adding more highlight code... Last edited by Shadow Wizard : September 2nd, 2005 at 03:33 PM. Reason: checking with three highlights... |

We brought this up at DS the other day too. I can't really see a
work-around for it, as the numbers are an <ol>. The only decent suggestion we have is to have the forums make a link under the code block 'Copy this code' or something, and when you click it, the code will be shown on it's own in a little popup or something.

ok I see.... so maybe it's better to drop the line numbers? they're not vital after all, and having them as part of the code really ruins any chance of using it unless it's very short in which case the user can remove the line numbers manually.
