new belts?

Hi,
I might be going crazy, but I could have sworn
that I saw a new kind of belt?
and then on the next post it was gone?
It looked kinda kewl, have a look at the attachments.

Am I missing something?

We discussed this with the admins over at DS a while ago - having
different belts for the different forums, and different ones for mods
but nothing ever came of it. Maybe they've changed their minds...

weird, I've just seen the same thing - looked at a thread, it said
you were an 'ASPFree God' and I was a noobie or something like
that, then looked at another, and it was back to the belts...

if they do it at one forum it filters through to us.

IMO, maybe a poll next time would be a suggestion?
I think a lot of users aiming for black belt is now pretty dissapointed?

It'd taken my years to get a black belt at just over two posts a day, I prefer the new images even if I'm just called a 'novice' now.

We will be updating the Announcements forum regarding this new hack but basically we went with a site specific grading system as opposed to the belts, and there is a new level each 500 posts.

Same as the belts did - the more you post, the more stars you get
around the ASPFree logo. You get a new one every 500 posts until
about 4000, when you get the golden star. If you hover over the
img, you get a short description too...

i feel like the belts conveyed the message pretty well. i knew when i saw a black belt compared to a red belt it was far greater. now i have to do a quick count of the the stars to see. it wa a bit faster to take a glance at the belt system.

Far greater in what sense? The whole hack is pointless - someone's
postcount does not in any way reflect their intelect or contribution
to the forum - you could just as easily look at the number of posts
the user has made, rather than the colour of their belt/status icon.

now instead of waiting for new color, you wait for
new star and finally to the desired gold medal.

but I must admit, I prefer being God rather than
