Rating Threads?

How about a rating for for threads?

A way of identifying perfect threads.

ie
Question: Blah blah blah
Answer: Blan blah blah
Reponse: That worked, thank you very much.
Rating 10/10

When I search the forum, if I see something that is relevant with a 10/10 rating, that's the first one I view. Really really helpful.

Who thinks this is a good idea? (If it's already available I'm going to look like such a numpty!!!)

this is available already:
Rate Thread --> click one of the radio buttons --> click Vote Now
I've just rated this thread as Good.
and we also have rather new Reputation System allowing us to "rate" single post be giving reputation points to the member who posted it - by clicking the scales icon.

but why do you disagree with rating the threads?? it's nice thing to have in my opinion, and if used properly can distinguish good threads from bad threads.

That's what I meant. I hadn't read the whole post, just the title.
I do agree with it, I just thought it was something else, like the
user being able to rate the importance of their thread when they
create it... Can a mod change my vote to yes?

oh I see...
currently there is no moderator for this forum, only the admins can edit posts but I believe that even moderator can't change specific member's vote. most he can do is change the total number of votes for each option, as far as I remember.
anyway, once we'll have moderator for this forum I'll ask him to try and change it.
