Spam Control for – Report Bad Post

We have created a new hack to control spamming by “Report Bad Post”. New system allows only 2 repots per day for regular user groups. Mod / Admin user groups are not effected from this hack, they will have unlimited Reporting capability as usual.

Thaminda, are you guys getting spammed by reporting bad posts?
How does this happen? if more than one user reports the same post as bad?

We had someone report the same post 15 [yes, fifteen] times over
at DS the other day, just because he was upset that he got rep--
for saying something stupid.

Yup thats exactly why we implemented this protection - but it only exists for regular users not mods/admins.

Reporting 2 posts each 24 hours should be more than enough based on how many we get daily.

I remember once I was looking where a member who had just registered is (am I a curious girl or what??

) and the first and only thing he did, was to bad report a post and then he got offline..
Now I can see why..

So, it doesn't happen only at devshed, right?

Yes. He had previously been warned twice for post spamming and
for abusive lingo, so he got the chop.
