In Brief: IBM touring for Linux development (InfoWorld)
InfoWorld - IBM is on a worldwide tour to try to boost development on the Linux platform and help out users moving from Windows and Unix. A 40-city series of Linux technical briefings now under way intends to equip developers with Linux programming skills and information on development tools from the IBM WebSphere and Rational product lines. The half-day briefings, which began this month in Atlanta, are intended to assist corporate developers as well as ISVs and channel partners. The briefings are entitled, "Migrating and developing new applications for Linux." While IBM does not have a Web page specifically devoted to the tour dates for the Linux briefings, dates of briefings can be found by geography and region at http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/offers/techbriefings/schedule.html?S_TACT=105AGX03&S_CMP=ZHP.
