AP - Qwest Communications International Inc. is adding nearly a half billion dollars cash to its bid to acquire MCI Inc., offering a total of $8.45 billion to break up the long-distance communications company's $6.64 billion merger pact with Verizon Communications Inc., a source familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
