I am new to vb6 and wish to use it to aquire- examine- read and write data to an Access 2000 database table. I am not sure however, which components and references I need loaded or if i should be using, ADO, DAO I have seen lots of examples of both but which should i be using?

Use the ADO reference, 2.7 library (it's file name is msado15.dll, or something like that with *15.dll.
