Data capture External Device
I am developing an application (in VB) which will take some data from a weigh bridge machine. The machine will pass the weight details to the computer attached. The computer will then take the data and will get processed. The weigh bridge attached to a port on the system. How should I capture the data supplied by the weigh bridge machine?

First, you'll need to look at the cable that attaches the device and determine what it is, serial, parallel, usb, firewire, or something else.
