Question Designing Crystal Report at VB runtime

Hi,

Does anyone know hot go about designing a Crystal Report at VB runtime. ie All I have is database and I need to have a VB application that would connect to the database and design a report using Crystal Report component at runtime. Please let me know if any of you have input on this.

I appreciate your reply but it does not help to reply and just say I don't know. I see your reply for all the CR related questions with this reply of "I don't know". Any constructive input is appreciated. Thanks.

Why Crystal Reports?, the direct access to the printer object could be a better choice (because you don't have a report per se).

Well it is not that the user would always want to print the report that he creates. You would get better reports using Crystal, you can use graphs, formats etc and that is why Crystal Report.

OK. But with CR I don't know. And replying lets people know they aren't being ignored and "bumps" the topic for them.

No it doesn't. That is why we have the views column and know how many people are looking. It only waste the time as people who are expecting replies, see one and when they open all they see is "I don't know" and it does not help.

Well, if you don't like the reply I make I guess you'll just have to live with it, sorry.

This entire conversation has become a time-waster for us, and everyone else reading, so I will now leave you to your own research. Good luck.

Well I guess I have to. But I am wasting my time so that you don't waste other people's time. Thank you.
