Question Form Field Code in VB Class Module

Good day to all.

I have the following snippet in a class module -->>

Private m_objContext As ObjectContext
Private m_objRequest As ASPTypeLibrary.Request

'All other form elements go here.
Private m_formCol As Scripting.Dictionary

Implements ObjectControl

Private Sub ObjectControl_Activate()
Set m_objContext = GetObjectContext()
Set m_objRequest = m_objContext("Request")
Set m_formCol = New Scripting.Dictionary
End Sub

This is code that I found on a VB and ASP forum. The module works great when
compiled as a DLL, so there are no errors or problems.

As I understand it, the contents of a web page are submitted to this module
and all works well when using an ASP form. What I'd like to be able to do is
"Send Form Data" to this module from a VB ActiveX Control or EXE. I realize
that I'd have to code the STRINGS etc, but I'm not sure how I would send it
to this DLL.

I've been researching the ASPtypeLibrary and related information, but it
appears to be a little overwhelming and I think I'm jamming too much of the
"Wrong Stuff" into my little cranium.

Is what I want to do possible, or am I being a Spud Head?

If so, could someone show me how or point me to a definitive source.

Much Thanks.

I don't know if you can use the ASP library outside of IIS or not.

The complete documentation is at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library but you'll have to look around for the applicable sections. VB6 is in the Development Tools area, VBScript and ASP in the web development area.

Wink

Thanks Doug. I'll go through the material. I didn't see anything that would dhelp, but I know it can be done as I've seen apps do this. I think it has alot to do with understanding HTTP headers, which is not necesssarily a problem. But what I'd like to figure out is how I can send data back to a clients web browser. For example, updating a client sside progress bar etc.

Thanks again.
