i m doing project in admission management system.i want to generate the rollno of the students according to the department as 10cs01,10it01,10ee01...( where 10-year;cs,it,ee-dept;01-number) after i enter the dept i want the rollno to be generated and it ill be assing in the textbox.i tried a lot but its of no use. so help me to do this.thank is advance........
