Question Microsoft Word - Save As - Prompt for File Name

I have written a macro in Word that imports a number of files into a document template. The completed document then needs to be saved under a new name. I can specify the name in the code but I would prefer the macro to start the save process and then to prompt me for the new file name.

Excel has the function "GetSaveAsFilename" but this does not work in Word. Can anyone advise me how to do this?

    Thanks a lot,
    John

I don't know, sorry. You could write your own dialog box to get the filename, I guess. In VB6 I'd say use the common dialog control but I don't know if that's supported in Word VBA.
