Need a quick snippet - to do Authorization

Hi,

I need to write a small function in VB which takes in a user ID and a file in the system and checks if the user has access to the file.

Please note that am trying to use this as a replacement for Permissionchecker.dll which is used for authorization of my application.

Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rajesh

How to find IDs that have access to a file?

Hi

Is it possible to know the IDs/Groups that have access (read) to a particular file by using any windows/VB objects.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Rajesh
