OLE Graphing Problems

I am using a cross tab Query to try populate a graph however the graph is going screwy

here is an example of the table


Name sev1 sev2 sev3 sev4
joe 1
john 3
jim 5







how ever the graph will not display the name on the x axis and instead places numbers under the x axis ie where there are blanks in one column the extra numbers on the other column will go under the line and the name will be ignored
coupled with that it adds extra columns from a previous graph even though i am requerying the graph so it should change

any help would be appreciated
