Hello all,
Not a VB programmer, hence this is being posted for someone else. The issue is building something like a preloader in a login screen for a chatroom on VB6, similar to what could be achieved in Flash. Does anyone know what the code would need to be to provide a text box that say 'Disconnected', then when the login button is clicked changes to 'Connecting', displays for approx 3 seconds before it finally says 'Connected' and then takes you to the rooms. Apologies for the banal nature of the question - as stated I am not a VB programmer as my 'ICT talents' lie elsewhere  mjc65

I'd suggest using google to find some vb chatroom apps you can download and then inspect the code. Sites like freevbcode.com may be a place to look.
