I have created a new database which on the whole works fine, but… there are about ten reports which can be produced by the user. All the reports are first produced in ‘Review’ mode and because of the different outputs, some reports are in portrait and others landscape.
The problem is, that on what appears to me to be a completely random basis, the reports seem to loose their formatting (margin size and orientation) so that the landscape reports display in portrait and of course the fields then wrap over onto a new page. I can reset them back to landscape and test them several times and they work perfectly but I know that at some stage they seem to flip back to portrait. Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem?? |

Perhaps some other program is changing your default printer settings?

I believe the reports are all working OK now, I've been testing over several hours and after shutting down several times and all reports are holding their correct format.
What I ended up doing, was going into design mode for each report in turn, clicking File from the Toolbar followed by Page Setup and then setting page margins and orientation, finally on exit from Design, clicking Yes to Save changes. This is slightly different from my previous actions where I'd been reviewing the report output, Right Clicking at the top of the frame and going into Page Setup from there. Whilst at first this method appeared to work, it obviously did not correctly retain the settings. Last edited by AWoods : April 29th, 2004 at 08:26 AM. |
