Question runtime error

Hello,

The following run time error was reported to us from
one of our clients. We have a visual basic 6.0
application and from what I have seen regarding
this run time error in MSDN, it doesn't make sense
given the type of application my company has
provided to this client.

Can someone explain in detail to me what this
runtime error is?

Runtime error 354 in Visual Basic 6.0

Note: our application is not a web application.

Thank you,

ATeixeira

Another day I forgot my telepathy helmet

Post the complete error message. What is the code that is executing when the error occurs?

Hello Doug.

I can't post the code nor provide the complete error message as the program is executing at a
customer site that is in Europe and I am in the United States. I am waiting for the customer to send
me the application log file that our program creates and writes to while executing.

The only thing I know at the moment is that the customer reports getting Visual Basic 6.0's
runtime error code 354.

When I looked this error code up in the MSDN knowledge base, it appeared to be related to printer
driver errors when printing from Access and/or a web-object error code. Our program is not a web-based
application: it is a win32 desktop application. We use an access database, however, the access program
is not used by our application as it uses the database directly via APIs and SQL code.

Until I get the application log, I am in the dark about what is going on, but I suspect it is not a problem
with our program. However, the customer claims that our program terminates when this error occurs.

I was hoping someone had encountered this error code and could give me some indication of what might
cause it, or what this error really is. MSDN, as usual, is a bit vague about it.

Thanks,

ATeixeira

I haven't run across this error, a quick google search returned some threads about winsock errors and mapi email sending.

Hopefully you get some more info from your customer that will help shed light on the subject.
