Split URL String

Hi,

i am looking for a method to split an URL String:

For example: http://www.domain.com/subdir1/subdir2/file.html

In that example i would like to get two Variables.

1st- Domain: http://www.domain.com/
2nd- URL: /subdir1/subdir2/file.html

Can someone help me???

I am using MS Access 2003 and VB 6

One way is to use the split function to break up the string on "/" characters, then rebuild the two variables you are interested in, something like

asp Code:

Original - asp Code
arr = split(urlString, "/" for i = 0 to 2 var1 = arr(i) & "/" next for i = 3 to ubound(arr) var2 = arr(i) & "/" next

 
arr = split(urlString, "/"
for i = 0 to 2
  var1 = arr(i) & "/"
next
 
for i = 3 to ubound(arr)
  var2 = arr(i) & "/"
next
