I'm trying to create a file in Visual Basic 6 whose functions can be access via some code in vbs file. I have never done this before but it seems like I have to create an ActiveX Component in Visual Basic. Am I pointing in the right direction and Is there any other way I can do this? Are there any good website for references on this subject? Help would be appreciated.

You are headed in the right direction. There is a tutorial in the vb6 documentation.
