using Regex
Hey,
I'm going to try and make myself a search engine for our website using regular expressions in VB. Anyways, while reading a tutorial they didn't quite suggest how this could be done. I DB's can have RegEx fields but I was wondering if a clob field could be treated as one if the search was to be executed on that specific field? Also, I'd like search queries to ignore certain words like "the", "and", and so forth so how can I insert many keywords in the .pattern variable... as I'm not too sure how to use it since the tutorial doesn't elaborate on it's use it just gives examples. Thanks in advance, it's appreciated. Seb |

I'd suggest taking a look at some of the regex websites for samples and tutorials. I try to avoid regex's whenever possible, they give me a headache
