i am not sure what the deal is.

You must to set up the logon on every tables or view in your crystal designer.
for example :

crxreport.Database.Tables(1).SetLogOnInfo strServer, strDatabase, strUID, strPWD

Regards,

Tonny

'If you have "crystl32.ocx" registered on your pc you can do this.
Dim strServer As String
Dim strUserName As String
Dim strPassword As String
Dim strDatabase As String
strServer = "Your Server Name"
strUserName = "Your User Name"
strPassword = "Your Password"
strDatabase = "Your Database Name"
CrystalReport1.ReportFileName = "Path To Your Report"
CrystalReport1.Connect = "DSN = " & strDatabase & "; UID = " & strUserName & "; PWD = " & strPassword & "; DSQ = " & strServer & ""
CrystalReport1.Action = 1
