Ok so my teacher has just given us an assignment to take data from a text file through vb6(or vb in MS Access) and export it to simply accounting. The user must be able to choose any text file containing data and any simply accounting file and we are to program it so that no errors pop up and that the code is ready for anything. One problem is this teacher has taught us little and we are left to come up with the answer to do all this by our own. Unfortunately I don’t know where to start. Can someone please help and just get me started? Much thanks for helping.

Hi, Actually here we want some details like what data that text file contain mean in which format so that we can use Scripting.FileSystemObject to read the text file, it is more easy to solve problem if you mention the database structure ..... Cheers, Satish Kumar J. |

Start with Simply Accounting and find out just how (or if) you can add or edit data via external code.
