Wink Which VB function do i use?

Hi guys,
I need to append the agent codes in a file one by one to each & every product record in the products file...

These are both text files and the result should go into a new textfile...

Can anybody help???

You can use the built-in file functions in VB6 to open, edit and save text files, or you can add a reference to the microsoft scripting runtime and use the filesystem object.

Please illaborate i am not familiar to the functions you are proposing...can i use it to edit a text file and output it into a Excel spreadsheet?
