Advice Needed

Can any one help me? (I hope this is the right place to post)

At http://www.spiritualistchurches.net we currently list churches and their services (churches email in details, I have to edit and upload the pages)

What I would like is a system whereby members could login and edit their own church information

I would like to display .. all contact details and a calendar of upcoming events for each church

I would like the system to be searchable by visitors to the site

Is there anything in existence htat would enable me to do this?

If you are knowledgable in a programming language you could develop one yourself or you could go to the Programmers For Hire forum and find someone to create on for you. It's actually a pretty easy thing to do.

erm .. no I can't do it myself and it's a church site so we can't afford to pay for a programmer .. I need to find something that is already in existence and easily adapted to our needs.

I would offer my services for free, but I don't have much free time being in the military and all. You might be able to find someone kind enough in that forum to whip up a customized login system for you for free. They might just want to be credited for the work. Like I said, it's a pretty easy task to accomplish. I will try and look around to see if I can find something similar to what you are looking for already in existence.

I do know that some web hosting companies offer services such as Microsoft Sharepoint Team Services which could accomplish this task. There are also some inexpensive login scripts out there, such as the Spooky Login, which you could use to start off, but you would have to learn a little bit about databases and such. Does the server your web site resides on support database connections? That's something else you would need to check on as you can't perform these types of things without a web server that supports it.

My hosting is held at http://www.hostofspirits.com and has everything I need hosting wise.

Its just finding a system to do what I need.
