Graphic help
hello ^_^
I have a photo and I want to draw a shape over it (heart shape) So a part of the photo will be inside the heart and the rest will disappear.. I tried adding a new layer and drawing a heart with the shape tool in Photo Shop but it remains inside the picture and the edges of the photo also remains. I drew a small picture of what I need..You can see it in this link.http://www.dreamduster.com/photo.html Can anyone tell me how to do it.. Thanks you very much.. |

Hi Dream,
in Photoshop, create a layer of your photo, create another layer and draw the heart on that, make sure that the heart layer has a transparent background. Then select the heart layer, and choose the 'magic wand' tool, click outside of the hear, so that the edges of the layer and heart is selected, with this selected, choose the photo layer and press delete. This should delete the edges of your photograph. hope this helps, otherwise you could send me the picture layer and heart layer as seperate images and I can try to get it the way you want ![]()

That's one way to do it. You also might benefit from this simple example of how to make selections. If you ever make a selection that looks like a heart, just use Select > Inverse and then Edit > Cut.
