Layout Problems, need help

Ok I'm making a liquid layout but I'm having some problems. I have two DIVs in one big one and I can't set the height on one of them(I dunno?) so , at a certain point, it just starts to overlap over the other div. And I can't get a border around that one either. Everything works in IE I noticed though, but not firefox.

Seeing the markup/css you have would help. having a link to a live page would be better.

It sounds like you are not clearing the divs, which is causing them to overlap.

FF (and other standards compliant browsers) handle this according to spec, which is why you are seeing what you see. IE does it's own thing, against the spec.
