Lightbulb PHP or JSP?

Hi
I am developing some dynamic pages as a part of a website. We have several forms that establish a connection to a database, retrieve and display values from it and store the changes back to the database on the click of a submit button. All works fine but I came across some article that says php is better than jsp. I googled for a lot of articles on it and I am not convinced that there is something that can be done only in php and not in jsp. But I still cannot ignore php. Can someone throw light on thsi issue? Want to know if its worth converting all my code to php and develo[p any forms from here in PHP? Came across one artcile that says response time in php is less than in jsp. Will this matter to a great extent?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Neelima.

If you are integrating with a java or EJB back end then I would
say JSP all the way. Otherwise PHP is better but thats only MHO
