Server error reporting?
Hey guys, I wanted to try and catch the 404, 403 type errors on my website. So I build a custom error page that also sends an email to myself about the error (had my hosting company set the page on their end too).
Now it seams I am getting bombarded with these "error emails". There has to be a better way. How do you guys do it? -Chris |

We use awstats to find out that kind of information. I wouldn't do what you are doing for 404's - only for things that are a bit more serious...you'll get a 404 for every mis-typed url...

And is usually just what I get is 404 error sent to me. Most of the time they are looking for pages that have never exsisted. Do you know why that is? -Chris |
