If you dont want to program it yourself I suggest you take a look at Google Sites. Its free and it does it all for you.

Make a website is easy, but how to popularize it is difficult to do. As for make, you can get much informaiton on google or some books.

You could also install Word press or Graffiti CMS or some other form of CMS/Blog software. Add your theme and tweak the site out to your liking. Works well for many people.

Honestly it is alot of work until you are familiar with the process. My first step is always choosing the proper company to register the domain with. Then you get into the battle of a 1 page site or multiple pages. Do you want login capabilities? How about member access only? These are just a sliver of what you will encounter when creating a website from scratch. My advice is find a friend who has the time to sit down with you and explain things from a 1-on-1 basis. If that isn't possible, youtube has a few tutorial videos you may find helpful. Good Luck! Gib F.
