What is the standard size of logo for homepage?
and Banner size?

It seems to me like this would be an easy thing to find on Google for most anyone.

In fact, I'll start the search for you:

The logo size depends on the industry type and style of site.

For a site traditionally in design, a larger logo is acceptable. (300*80)

For a very busy site crammed for room, you may need to go down to a smaller size. (150*30)

As for page size, my preference is 600-700 pixels wide. The page widths are normally determined by resolution, so there is a break at around 790 1013 1270 pixels.

And of course, you can just set things at 100%, but unless your content is suitable to fit into a design of this style, you may end up with lots of empty space, particularly next to forms and images.
