The logo size depends on the industry type and style of site.
For a site traditionally in design, a larger logo is acceptable. (300*80) For a very busy site crammed for room, you may need to go down to a smaller size. (150*30) As for page size, my preference is 600-700 pixels wide. The page widths are normally determined by resolution, so there is a break at around 790 1013 1270 pixels. And of course, you can just set things at 100%, but unless your content is suitable to fit into a design of this style, you may end up with lots of empty space, particularly next to forms and images. |
