using front page for access database?
I'd like to know how to place a database from access on the web using microsoft frontpage. is it like a very simple import, and that's it or is there more to it.
also, if i don't use front page, can i place the access file (.mdb) straight on the web? thanks |

Hello,
You can upload the database to a webserver using FTP. You don't need FrontPage. I don't use FrontPage, but I am sure that it comes with built-in FTP functionality. However, anyone will be able to download your entire Access database if it's on the web. If security is a concern, you can configure a virtual directory to be read-only. Then using ASP, you can read out the contents of the database. Hope this helps. |
