Boot Windows 98se from external HD
Hi guys new to this site, hope there is some help out there, I have a program called system commander 9 which assists with dual boot processes. However I would like some advice or instruction on how to do it myself.
I have XP home on my laptop all runs fine however im a retro game freak and have alot of old win98se platform games I want to play, is it possible to install win98se to my external hd, which I will partition to 25gb max and fat 32 and then when i boot my pc I can either boot xp as normal on my Lappy, or if i want some retro time, boot win98se from my external HD then I wont have config problems or crash my laptop hopefully anyway any assistance with this post would be helpful thanks . |

I believe this may be possible, but you must first check that your BIOS supports booting from external or USB device.

I'd look in to using virtuialization with VMWare or similar virtual server software.
