When I try to download a very fast message flashes so quickly I can hardly see what it says. It is something about active x. After the fast message a message comes up to download what I need. After 100% is shown a red x message show error and mutes the download. I hope someone can help me. I am computer literate but this one has me puzzled.

Microsoft Updates require IE.
Download http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html and then post the log here for us to look at. Also you should download and run Spybot Search and Destroy if you haven't already and also run the trendmicro housecall virus scanner and see if that pics it up: http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/con...call_launch.php As shadow says it sounds like a typical trojan but also it could be a simple corrupt file in IE too ![]() post back the HJT log and let us know if the other the other tests help ![]()

seriously now, maybe the OP removed IE (or tried to
) andthat's the source of the problem. |
