Cannot execute batch file on Partition on W2k Server

I have 2 machines with Win2k Server. One is a DC with 3 partitions C, E, and F. This is linked to another win2k Server which is the middle tier.
(note: I am not a Win2K server expert. I am an Oracle Clinical specialist).

I installed Oracle application software on machine1 and networked it to machine 2. Everything was working fine but after a patch upgrade on machine 1, something has gone wrong.

Findings:
1. I can map partitions C or E on m/c 1 from machine 2. But I cannot map the F partition on m/c 1 from machine 2. Not sure why!

2. Basically, I am not able to call a DOS batch file from a directory on the F partition on mcahine1. The PATH is absolutely correct and contains all the directories where the DOS batch files are.

I checked the permission on the F partition of m/c 1 and it is Full control, Change, Read for Everyone.

Why can't I map the drive?. When a batch file calls another batch file on this partition, it gives an error:
opa_set.bat is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable rpogram or batch file.
Error: No match found for specified code environment

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure F isn't conflicting with other devices? I have had problems where flash drives want the F assignment.

Cannot execute batch file on Partition on W2k Server

I sorted out the problem. It seems like there was a variable in the environment vairables list that the system did not like. This variable was related to the application win which the DOS batch file was being called. Once I removed the variable, the DOS batch files worked correctly.

Cool. If you ever have a conflict problem though make sure you go to Computer Management and then disk management and assign it a new drive letter. I have a bunch of mapped network drives at work and say I need to add a 2nd hard drive for some odd reason or even a flash drive, it will conflict because for some reason it likes to be assigned F: by default (which is taken).

Glad you got your problem fixed though
