certificate required for network access

hi. we are a windows server 2003 business and i was looking for a way to implement some security into our network. at my school, all the computers on the network required a certificate in order to use network resources and internet--which is what gave me this idea. i asked the school how they did it and they said they can't tell me. does anybody know how i can implement this in our existing network? thanks for any help!

I don't know the answer, but there are a gazillion websites with details of windows security. Maybe your school didn't use windows?
