Change to UNIX
Hi
I have a question and really don’t know if I can get an answer from this site !! We are going to change our platform from NT to Unix and i have to prepare myself for this step, first I’m hosting a website and use IIS as a web server, so I don’t know if I change the platform, is there something should be changed ? Is there any article can help me to gain some knowledge about UNIX? Thanks

for one, you'll have to install different software.

You only need sun one if you have asp pages you need to run on *nix. You won't need to change much if anything to move html, css, images, and php to a *nix server. You'll most likely be using apache as the web server in *nix.
Why not grab an old computer and get a version of linux to get started with getting familiar with *nix, and to use as a development test system? Preferably get the same distribution of unix as you're planning to use. There are countless sites with information on *nix. I'd start with the home site for the distribution you are using.
