Connecting to printer between XP/2000
Hi,
I have a local printer setup on a windowsXP machine. I want a Windows2000 Computer to connect to it.
What I tried was install the printer on the XP machine, and share the printer. I printed a page and it works fine. Then on the 2000, I went to Add Printer->Network Printer->Name(left blank so it browses all Printers)->XP machine Name
but nothing shows up underneath it.
I also thought, well it is set up as a local printer so maybe I can't add it like a network printer. I heard something about mapping a network drive but not sure exactly what to do with that.
Anyone have any suggestions? (It has to be set as a local printer on the XP machine)
Thanks,
