Copy files from one web server to another
This is not ASP related, but I was wondering what to do when I see the access Denied message when I try to copy files from one web server to another.
Please do not say "Contact the System Administrator". I have to figure a way to grant me access to the folder in the destination web server. Thanks. |

If your question isn't asp related don't post it in the asp forum, moved.
And the answer is "contact the system administrator" even though you don't want to hear it. If you can grant yourself write permissions remotely, you move your website to a properly administrated web server.

The errors that you are referring to are permission related. How do you expect to grant permissions to a remote machine remotely? That why the security is there in the first place.
