Date and Time settings messed up
Hi,
I've a problem with my "date and time" settings and my "timezone" settings in my PC - they don't match, and this causes problems with my other time and dates displays in Outlook and on the Internet (when chatting, etc) as well. How can I fix this problem? I've 3 tabs in "Date and Time Properties" dialog window from the Control Panel: - Date & Time - Timezone - Internet time (currently no synchronization enabled) The time in the "Date & Time" tab is correct, but the timezone in the "Timezone" tab is wrong (points to GMT-8, but it should actually be GMT+8). Whenever I change to the correct timezone, the time in "Date & Time" gets changed and messed up as well (affects the time in Outlook, and so on). What can I do to fix this? Should I enable the time synchronization as well? Please help. P/s: I'm using MS Windows XP Professional and I'm not part of a domain at all, but just a workgroup. Date and Time settings messed up
It's nornally appointments in your Microsoft Outlook planner that get shifted incorrectly.
as for the sync setting you should set it to: time.microsoft.com also tick Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes what you can do is find out where your machine is getting it's time from. from command prompt type: NET TIME and see what is returned
