Delete the IE chronology

Hi guys,
I usually delete the IE chronology, temporary files, cookies, Automatic Web Navigation and Form Fill from the "internet option".

I would like to know: after these operations, there is still some track of my navigation on the PC?
For example in the Windows register?

How do I erase ALL informations?
Thank you

Loads of ways.

I usually log-out, then login as another AD user with Administrative permissions (usually the local machine's own Administrator account), then go into my home directory and delete:

%Homedir%\Local Settings\History
%Homedir%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
%Homedir%\Cookies

IE then recreates these directories when it reopens.

Although I don't use IE for surfing anymore (haven't since September last year). Switch to Firefox... its easier to control.

I suppose that at the end of the day, if someone REALLY wants to know what you've been upto they will find out.

Cheers,

Dean

To an extent yes...

But if I were to be subject to a Police Raid or anything, I'd remove my HDD and throw it straight out of the window.

Just remember one thing:

Never buy nor trust those "Privacy Protector" programs you see advertised on teh intarweb. They cost £30 yet do things one can learn to do for free.

You guys sound very dodgy. Unless you're hot swappable/quick release, it takes about 2 minutes to take a hdd out, and a further 10 seconds or so to open a window, and even then you have to hope the thing breaks good and propper...

Instead why not just strap a nice bit of plastic explosive to each disk, and have them blow up on demand.

I can remove my HDD in under a minute if I'm good... all I have to do is move my printer stand out the way, remove the thumbscrews, remove the side-panel, and slide out the HDD. SATA cables are far easier to remove than IDE-ATA ones.

If I throw it out the window, it'll land on soft grass outside, my HDD claims to withstand 20G, so it'll survive the landing.

Then I'll dispose of it properly later.

....But this is all hypothetical stuff... there's no reason anyone would want my HDD, there's nothing illegal on there anyway (I reckon they'd be scared off by the hentai collection anyway )
