Dell Tech Support from bad to worse!!!!
Well if it wasn't bad enough that the Dell Tech Support Team (Team India) are not able to hardly speak or understand the English Language, the new Dell policy is not to send out the driver disks for new products when you buy a desktop or laptop. If you do want the disks, they want to charge you for them.....

i have always had good experiences with dell support but we all face different problems. Are you looking for any drivers in particular? because most if not all drivers can be found on the net !

No I got it in the end, yesterday Dells web site had no downloads for the laptop in question. Then today they gave me the wrong one driver and after delll updating there web site today I found the correct driver myself, as I got bored of having to repeat everything 5-6 time because the support agent on the other end of the phone couldn't understand the lingo....
but thanks anyway |

hmmm.... more tech-support bashing.. you must be excellent and faultless at what you do everyday. wish I was as faultless with my work as you are. there tons of people whose work I'd like to crib about.

I've always had good luck with Dell support myself. I recently got a low-end Dell laptop that didn't have an XP re-installation CD (it was in a hidden partition), I called support, got a person who transferred me to a nice lady who promptly sent me the XP and Drivers CD. n/c, btw.

Never had to call Dell Tech Support. But their sales people.... sheeesh.
They completely screwed up my order, but I can't really complain to much, I ended up with a free 20gig hard disk, video card and sound card. |

But then again, I try to solve things on my own rather than calling tech support. That situation was different though, as I can't pull a new working hard drive out my rear!

u guy's still on about Dell!
hey I've had my windge about them now. But........ my last word's about them: Dell a few years ago were fine didn't have a problem, but recently every month or so they cut back bit by bit. Firstly with that new lovely outsourced tech helpdesk we all love to call and now where there not supplying the driver disk's, weather that's because they have a restore image on the HD but they should at least tell there customers about the change's they've made, as my company, as well as many others, when we get a new desktop or laptop we wipe it and put our own image on it. after which we found out the drivers were not supplied and then they told us that we had to pay for the driver disk's. |

I'm done doing business with them...I will build my own pc's from now on. Only thing I do buy from them now is ink cartridges because I have two of their printers...but once those die...it's done!
